Dramatic Deep Red in Living Room

January 20th, 2010

Here is one more example of a dramatic deep red on walls in a living room.

This is the same living room that we did with the beautiful Bella Plaster. We used red to really give this living room an elegant look and feel.

Deep red  is a very powerful color and had been a choice for some homes for years. We have painted many formal dining rooms deep red.

Venetian Plaster

January 19th, 2010

We used Bella Plaster from the Pro Faux product line to give this living room a makeover.

We went from off white paint to an elegant finish and custom colors that we applied from ground pigments.

Hand trowel texture with color added and a satin wax top coat for protection. This finish works well as an accent in any home. We can match any color and this finish is very popular where a touch of elegance is desired.

Old World Glazed Finish

January 18th, 2010

The original surface was old tired wallpaper so we prepared the walls and textured them and applied a base coat followed by a glaze coat and the end result was a beautiful kitchen where the walls matched the granite counter tops. This is a good example of the dramatic change texture and color can add to a tired room.

With a new look we updated this kitchen by giving the walls an old world texture and matching the granite counter tops with similar glazes.

Red Accent Wall in Austin, Texas

December 10th, 2009

A little red goes a long way to enhance the white trim around a fireplace. You don’t have to over do it when it comes to accent walls in a house.

Red accent walls really make the white trim pop. Once again using the power of color to add an interesting twist to a formally boring room. Red gave this room the wow factor.
